I love my job. I really do. Being a newborn photographer in Brentwood, I get to cuddle brand new babies and photograph brand new lives, preserving memories for years to come. Such an important and precious job.

Just recently,  I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful newborn baby boy at home in Brentwood, Essex.  He was 16 days old at the time of the session and was very much wide awake for majority of the session. He didn’t really want to miss the action.

After much cuddling and rocking, he finally nodded off to sleep. The magic that you see below happened about 20 minutes before the session ended. I advise mums to book their newborn portrait sessions before their third trimester so they’re guaranteed a spot in my scheduling. Newborn shoots are best when baby is under two weeks old to allow time for different natural sleeping photos of babies. 

I should also add that I always take my time with newborn sessions. I never rush and will always work to your baby’s routine. There will be plenty of breaks in between a session so that baby can be cuddled, fed, and have his/her nappy changed.
