One of the things I love about this picture is just how real it is. This is real life. While memories may fade, photographs like this can help to preserve this unforgettable moment. And this moment right here is everything.

This is why I am drawn to lifestyle and documentary newborn photography. Moments like this is a great reminder that real life is beautiful.

As a parent, this is what I would like to remember in 10 or 20 years from now when I look back through newborn photos. The feel of baby’s skin against mine, the way baby smelled, the weight of baby in my arms – all of these add to the preciousness of the moment.

As a Brentwood newborn photographer, my style is to capture natural moments through real and authentic photography. I prefer not to use props like baskets or pose babies into unnatural poses but instead I focus on simple images that pay attention to the special things about baby – the curl of baby’s hair, tiny fingers and toes. I also place emphasis on the early days bond and connection between you and your baby.
