Isn’t she just gorgeous? This is Scarlett Havannah; the beautiful newborn baby I blogged about a few weeks ago.  She was just 11 days old when I met her for her photo shoot.

Her parents Jackie and Patrick responded to my casting call for newborn babies to photograph. The photo shoot took place at their home in Enfield, North London using only natural light.

If you’ve ever had a shoot with me, you will know that I love natural light. I love finding the most flattering natural light to use for photo shoots. I was over the moon when I walked into Jackie and Patrick’s home and saw the size of their living room window and the amount of natural light flowing in. Their home has the most gorgeous natural light.

Jackie and Patrick told me that Scarlett’s grandma had specifically requested for the ‘shirtless dad with newborn over the shoulder’ pose so I had to create the image just for her. It turned out to be one of my favourite images from the shoot.

I wanted to try something new so I was chuffed to bits when I saw this huge teddy in Scarlett Havannah’s nursery. This teddy was a gift to Jackie from Jackie’s grandfather and she treasured it. I wanted to somehow include this in the newborn images of her baby.

I am so excited I was able to document this new chapter of their lives. Jackie and Patrick are first time parents and they were so besotted with their newborn. It was so lovely to be able to capture these special memories for them.
