I can’t tell you how excited I am to post a sneak peek from baby Abigail’s newborn photo shoot. Little miss Abigail sure did make me work for this shoot but I tell you, it was so worth it.
This particular session took place in her grand parent’s home in Harpenden. I am used to newborns sleeping through the shoot but Abigail at less than two weeks old was not having any of that. She was wide awake through it all.
After about three feeds, a couple of nappy changes and lots of cuddles from her mum and dad, I was finally able to get some cute shots.
Now I have to warn you, this newborn baby is pure perfection; from the crown of her head to the sole of her feet. She is perfectly beautiful, every inch of her and it almost made me broody. 🙂
If you are pregnant and would like to book me to photograph your new baby, please contact me as soon as you can so that I can make room in my schedule.
The best time to have your newborn photo shoot is usually within the first two weeks of life. This is when baby is most sleepy and ensures we can get the sleepy newborn baby poses that a lot of parents seem to love, although as I’ve found, some newborns can be wide awake through the session.
I also offer a more natural lifestyle approach to ensure you have images of your wide awake or sleepy newborn in his or her natural surroundings at home. It could be images of baby in his/her crib, mum and dad with baby on the sofa or just images documenting your everyday life with your new bundle of joy.
I am also more than happy to photograph your beautiful baby even after the two week period. Please contact me to schedule your baby photo shoot.
Here is a sneak peek from my recent session with Abigail.

If you are looking for a professional baby photographer in London and are interested in booking a newborn photography shoot with me, please contact me as soon as possible. It is never too early to book a newborn shoot.
My newborn shoots usually last between two to three hours and will take place in the comfort of your own home. Your session will not be rushed. I work at baby’s pace with lots of breaks for feeding, nappy changes and soothing. I take as much time as I need to get the absolute best images possible.
I like newborn babies to be between 5-10 days old as this is when they are most sleepiest. No one knows the exact date baby will choose to make an appearance. This is why I usually block your due date plus two weeks on both sides to reserve your session. Then once baby arrives, we can finalize the exact date and time.
